profile picKaty Mackay is a personal trainer and health coach in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, training personal clients and small groups in Bondi, Rose Bay, Vaucluse and Dover Heights.

With a focus on weight loss nutrition plans, functional strength training, mindfulness techniques and positive psychology, Katy has developed a unique style of coaching that’s fun and delivers powerful results.

Katy discusses lifestyle changes with her clients that will help them achieve their goals and often engages with them on a daily basis to ensure consistency in their diet, training and mental practices.

Katy studied professional communications in Melbourne, graduating with distinction in 2008 and started her own fitness business in Byron Bay in 2009. Her interest in kettlebell training grew and she did her advanced instructor courses with the Australian Kettlebell Academy. In 2011, she relocated to London where she thrived in a private fitness studio in Hackney, East London, furthering her skills in functional training disciplines.

Her love for people and human behaviour led her to become widely read in positive psychology, which she incorporates in her coaching.

Now studying physiotherapy, Katy helps individuals make lifestyle changes that improve their physical health, happiness and well being. Her broader goals include an ambition to increase the standard of personal and group training in Australia as well as initiating a health movement to address poor occupational habits such as prolonged sitting, chronic sleep deprivation, long work hours, overuse of cars and prevalance of sugar and alcohol in the workplace and social environments. Katy always strives to contribute to a world wide movement towards smarter fitness, nutrition and mindfulness.
